XC Boys District Race Recap

The Teays Valley boys' cross country team competed in the OHSAA District race today, with the top six teams and top twelve individuals not on those teams advancing to the OHSAA Regional race next Saturday. The race featured strong competition, with runners from multiple schools vying for qualification. While Teays Valley did not secure a top-six team placement, three standout runners from the team earned individual qualification for the regional race based on their performances: Brayden Fraley (Senior): Finished 41st with a time of 18:26.65. Colin Carvel (Senior): Placed 48th with a time of 18:47.14. Logan Moore (Senior): Came in 51st with a time of 18:54.39. Other Viking runners included: Colton Whitt (Freshman): 56th, 19:28.39 Clark Thompson (Junior): 57th, 19:30.40 Kellan Durbin (Sophomore): 60th, 19:55.39 Xavier Clay (Sophomore): 63rd, 20:09.65 Fraley, Carvel, and Moore will represent Teays Valley at the regional race, aiming to continue their strong seasons and compete for a chance to the OHSAA State meet. These boys are the first to qualify since Ryan Fleming earned his regional qualifying spot back in 2017. Congratulations to these athletes on their qualification, and best of luck at regionals!
